The Queen Mary 2, the pride of the Cunard fleet is the largest passsenger cruiser in the world. On Tuesday 20th of October 2009 she made her first ever stop in the port of Liverpool, the first time a passenger ship of anywhere near this size has stopped at the port. The original Queen Mary was last seen in Liverpool in the 1950's but this event today marks the start of a new era for the city following years of renovation and loving care of the waterside in preparation. Queen Mary 2 visited Liverpool as part of her 5th Birthday Celebration tour of the UK.
